Seven Magic Mountains
Seven Magic Mountains

Finding art installations on the side of the road is something that I’m increasingly loving to do. There’s a new installation on the way to Las Vegas (from Los Angeles, that is) that you can’t miss. It is just about halfway between Las Vegas and Primm, Nevada off of the 15 freeway.

The Valley of Fire
The Valley of Fire

If you find yourself with time to kill in the Vegas area or are driving across Nevada to Utah, I've found the perfect place to stop through. I kept seeing those commercials all over to visit the 5 Utah National Parks. Since then, I’ve been dying to go see those places. Since we were definitely on a timed schedule for our cross country road trip, it was hard to pick and choose where to spend our time and make sure we did spend enough time at each place.

White Sands National Monument
White Sands National Monument

I don’t know what it is about Sand Dunes, but they are so intriguing. Where did all that sand come from anyway? I’ve been to the Mesquite Sand Dunes in Death Valley but there’s something different about White Sands National Monument in New Mexico.

If you ever find yourself driving along route 66 across upper Texas, the Cadillac Ranch is the place to stop. It’s an art installation where 10 old Cadillac’s were buried halfway leaving their hoods sticking straight out of the dirt making it a graveyard for Cadillacs.
